Cal State LA has begun searching for their new Director of Public Safety as Rick Wall is set to begin his retirement immediately.
According to the campus wide email sent out by President William A. Covino, Lieutenant Larry Bohannan will be serving as the interim director of Public Safety while the search for a permanent replacement is ongoing.
Wall has spent 38 years in law enforcement, serving 33 years at the Los Angeles Police Department and five years at Cal State LA.

Corruption was rampant under Chief Walls tenure…..good thing he is leaving the position.
The Cal State police department is notorious for harassing residents who live near CSULA. They need to be reviewed by an independent board so that their criminality can stop.

Was the retirement in abrupt fashion? Why has Covino not provided more detail and transparency? What is Lt Bohannon’s credentials? Some background information would be useful in this online campus “times” article.
