The Eagle Nest introduces the university’s young athletes to the Cal State LA community.

JOSHLYN AYALA

Cal State LA Athletes

Ayala is a freshman athlete for the Golden Eagles women’s golf team. In her time at Warren High School, she was a first-team All-league athlete and three-time league Most Valuable Player. Ayala is an art major and enjoys drawing and sketching. She is passionate about animation and hopes to work for Disney, Dreamworks, or Warner Brothers.

NATHALIE JABONERO

Cal State LA Athlete

Jabonero is a freshman athlete for the Golden Eagles women’s golf team. She is from Eastvale, CA, and attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School. She was part of a three-peat, undefeated league championship team and graduated with distinction. Jabonero loves to sing and play the guitar. She also won Miss Filipina Teen International in 2021.

BENJAMIN LIDH

Lidh is a sophomore defender for the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team. He is from Sweden and attended St. Thomas Aquinas College prior to joining the Golden Eagles. This season, Lidh has played about 250 minutes for the Golden Eagles and has one start against Biola. Lidh is majoring in business administration and management.
