The AltaMed pop-up clinic on campus will be offering both the Pfizer and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines to all students, faculty and community members. Patients opting to get the Pfizer vaccine will be assisted in scheduling an appointment for their second dose.
The pop-up clinic will be held Thursday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All vaccinations are free regardless of health insurance or immigration status.
Students, faculty and community members are required to bring an ID or document that includes their first and last names. Appointments are recommended but not necessary and can be scheduled using the MyTurn website with the access code BWGXDN5GFD.
Sara Duarte, a student who got vaccinated Wednesday at the clinic’s first pop-up event this week, said that she undergoes weekly COVID-19 tests at her place of work but decided to set up an appointment to get vaccinated as it was her first time on campus.
The clinic is located along the main walkway next to the Biological Sciences building. AltaMed is offering a $25 gift card to Northgate Market for the first 50 individuals who get vaccinated at the clinic, and Cal State LA gear will also be available.
