Alternative instruction will continue through until the end of spring semester, according to a campus-wide email sent out by Cal State LA’s President Thursday evening.
The announcement came in light of “COVID-19 developments that have taken place” that have caused the university to re-evaluate the original plan of ending online instruction on April 24.
According to President William A Covino, the recent decisions made to change the scheduling of the academic year are the first of its kind.
“Never before in my lifetime in academia has an incident so thoroughly re-written our plans for the semester.” Covino said. “What we see taking place across the nation is without precedent and our actions are equally unparalleled.”
He urged students, faculty and staff to visit the Health Watch webpage for more information on Cal State LA COVID-19 updates.
