Cal State LA women’s basketball player rises to stardom

Nicole Flennaugh is a junior guard for the Golden Eagles women’s basketball team. The junior guard stepped up a lot this season with her amazing three point shooting and helped the women’s basketball team to a 15-6 record so far this season.

A Portland, Oregon native who is averaging 15.6 points and 2.5 assists this season, along with shooting 37% from three pointer.

Flennaugh is a key player for the Cal State LA women’s basketball team. This is now her 3rd year on the team and has seen drastic improvement statistically having increased minutes and shooting more efficiently from the field along with her free throws.

Flennaugh has won plenty of awards, including the 2020-21 CCAA All-Academic honors and the 2020-21 CCAA Winter Academic Honor Roll recognition. She also broke the CCAA all-time career three-pointers record with 227 career threes with 34 less games than the previous record holder, Maddy Wong, in 2020.
