Thousands of Angelenos gathered for a protest, rally and march last Saturday to showcase their frustrations with the Trump administration’s policies ranging from ongoing genocide in Gaza, ICE abductions and many demanded healthcare for all and a third Trump impeachment.
Many protestors stayed at the main rally at Grand Park where they educated each other on their organizations’ accomplishments both nationwide and at a local level. Others sold No Kings merchandise, flavored drinks, hot dogs, tacos, tea, tortas and others handed out free water.
Speakers from organizations like Jewish Voice for Peace, California State University Employees Union and 50501 got on a mobile stage truck to encourage protest attendees to continue to make demands of their government and join organizations to build community and enact political change.
Hundreds marched and took the Donald Trump baby balloon on a 1.5 mile tour of the streets of Los Angeles through traffic with bubble blowers, inflatable cartoon costumes, protest signs and flags. Some protestors stopped temporarily to drop banners on the bridge over the 101 freeway.
The march went from N Spring St to Grand Ave. then to W Cesar Estrada Chavez and back around to N Spring St.
