The Super Bowl is a huge event that takes place at the end of every football season. Many fans across the country live for the sport, while the players fight to the bitter end for the right to play in the game of all games.

The teams that are going to play at State Farm Stadium have been decided. Now, what team does the Cal State LA community think will hold the Lombardi Trophy high above their head when it is all said and done?

Advancing to the Super Bowl is not an easy task, as each team had to endure a 17 week regular season going against some rather tough opponents.

Luckily, the Chiefs and the Eagles both had a bye in the playoffs. So their journey to play in the most important game in the National Football League (NFL) was not as difficult as some of the other teams they played.

Brian Parsons, a sociology major, is picking the Chiefs to walk away with the victory.

“I am really hoping the Chiefs stomp on the Eagles,” Parsons said.

Other students, like psychology major Daniel Gonzalez, are going with the Philadelphia Eagles on Super Bowl Sunday.

Steven Quintero, a second semester math major also said the Eagles will be celebrating when it is all said and done.

The Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII in 2017 with former Quarterback Carson Wentz. The question is can they duplicate their success in the 2022 season with Philadelphia’s new Quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is only in his second season in the NFL.

The same can be said for the Kansas City Chiefs, who won the Lombardi trophy just 2 seasons ago under veteran Head Coach Andy Reid and their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles fans will find out what will be the outcome soon, when Super Bowl LVII is played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
