Adrian Bennett de Avila, Golden Eagle Radio’s station manager and University Times sports editor, Joshua Letona, GER program director and UT entertainment managing editor meets up with UT News Managing Editor, Richard Tzul and Editor-in-Chief Marisa Martinez discuss the Credit/No Credit grading option that students now have to choose from for the spring 2020 semester.

Starting at the University Times in Spring 2019, Joshua Letona has worked his way as an intern to three different editors positions and now, Editor-in-Chief. He’s contributed to over 70 articles at the UT, along with reinventing the Culture section. Joshua’s passions lie in storytelling as he strives to be a filmmaker and entertainment journalist.
Marisa Martinez, Audio Editor
Marisa Martinez is a senior at Cal State LA majoring in Journalism. She has served as managing editor, editor-in-chief, digital editor and now audio editor for the University Times. Marisa is also currently the station manager at Golden Eagle Radio. Outside of her work at Cal State LA, Marisa also works as a CalMatters College Journalism Network fellow. After graduation this spring, Marisa will be interning at the Los Angeles Times news desk where she is looking forward to putting her years of journalism work to the test.
Joshua Mejia, Multimedia Editor
Joshua Mejia is a fifth year TVF Major in the Film option, who has been with the University Times for six semesters. He is a filmmaker-photographer who specialized in street photography before joining the UT as an intern. In his final year, he is now the Multimedia Editor. His work is grounded in the philosophy of a decisive moment that sums up the humanity of the story.
