Dear Golden Eagle readers and community members,
While Cal State LA takes this time to transition to online courses and students settle with their new educational situations, the University Times must do its best to provide student-run journalism to its community. The coronavirus has taken a toll on the country, our campus and now on one of the ways we share content.
As of today, in light of recent campus-wide mandates, the University Times has decided not to publish a weekly print edition, but will instead rely solely on our website and social media accounts to distribute content.
I would like to thank the College of Arts & Letters; the department of Television, Film & Media Studies; our journalism program professors and staff; and of course, my fellow student journalists at the University Times for all of their support and guidance through this difficult time.
Our team is ready and dedicated to serve our community by producing quality student journalism for our readership during this time. As we follow best practices, such as social distancing, we urge you to do the same and consider both your own safety, that of those with compromised immune systems and the elderly.
For coronavirus coverage, please visit our website at https://csulauniversitytimes.com.
Sincerely,
Marisa Vasquez Martinez
