A student living in the Cal State LA dorms tested positive for COVID-19, according to an email sent to housing students. Those living in campus residences were urged to register for a free COVID-19 test after they were informed Friday night.
The email stated that the student “does not appear to have come into close contact with others in Housing.” They also have already communicated with the Student Health Center.
Students living on campus must register first for the free test by signing up for an online account or calling (888) 634-1123. A testing site is located in the Luckman Fine Arts Complex. According to the email, students will be asked for insurance info, but do not have to provide it for “efficiency purposes.”
Once registered, patients will receive an eight-digit identification, which must be presented with a government or student ID on the day of their test. Testing hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6:50 p.m.
If students have any questions about the test when arriving, the email said to ask for the on-site manager, Sandra Lee. Other concerns and questions are asked to contact the Student Health Center at (323) 343-3302.

Even tho I’m 13 years old, I’m ready to go to school. I’ve been searching for a couple of years looking for the college I want. And tho that I’m 5 years to early for me to attend college I think I want to go here at California state university college LA, Even tho I’m scared that I might not be able to in 5 years because I don’t come from a family with thousands of dollars and I don’t know if my athletic ability will get me to college.
