As graduation approaches, the University Times would like to offer the 2021 graduates a chance to showcase their decorated graduation caps or graduation photos and what graduating means to them.
Since both graduation ceremonies at the Rose Bowl Stadium have now been postponed, we would like to celebrate the class of 2021 in the same tradition as last year’s graduates.
We understand that many students were disappointed with the graduation announcement. We at the UT stand in solidarity with the graduates and hope the university celebrates the accomplishments of the Class of 2021 and 2020 in a safe and adequate manner. We would also like to offer all students, whether or not they are attending the virtual graduation, the opportunity to share their stories.
Submissions describing what this graduation means to you or your proudest accomplishment at Cal State LA, will be accepted through this Google form until May 21 at 11:59 p.m. and will be posted alongside a photo of your graduation cap or of yourself in graduation attire the following weekend.
If you still do not have a graduation cap but would like a chance to decorate a digital one, one can be downloaded here.

CSULA needs to be respectful towards students who don’t lean politically left.
