Free drive-thru food bank to set up at Cal State LA
Campus and local community gets access to free food distribution at Cal State LA
Cal State LA will host a free drive-thru food bank this Thursday, June 25, by partnering with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Los Angeles County Board Supervisor, Hilda Solis.
The first 2,700 families that arrive will receive a donation, according to its website. Food distribution will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Parking Lot 5, located behind the campus near the I-710 north exit.
Vehicles must enter through the Welcome Center Kiosk and can begin lining up at 8 a.m. Attendees must wear face masks and remain in their vehicles at all times. No walk-ups will be allowed.
Along with food, baby items such as diapers and wipes will be available while supplies last.
The event is sponsored by various Los Angeles county departments and Cal State LA’s very own Center for Engagement, Service, and the Public Good and Associated Students, Inc.
