This was the fourth installment of My Slutty Valentine that was held at the Escodite in DTLA. It is a music event which highlights a variety of local artists who vary from bands, vendors, and “lustful debauchery” which the night was fueled with. There was an open expression of provocative energy, which was a liberating scene for all who are intrigued by the more quirky aspects of nightlife. Not only was there a variety of artists, but there was also a hot dog eating contest between the bartenders as well as dog adoptions. Lastly, there was face painting by “SHIT ART CLUB.”
A variety of people came together, consisting of punx, freaks, geeks, and sluts to support local artists for an outlandish Valentine’s weekend celebration, embracing the campy side of hardcore music.
