On Nov. 14, 2025, The Paramount in Boyle Heights held its latest Indie Night featuring the bands Rohna, Sleeping With Socks On, and The Grinns. Known as one of the last ballroom-style venues in Los Angeles, The Paramount is known for supporting emerging artists and offering a close, immersive space for live music.
The event included access to an open bar, and the room kept an intimate feel where the audience could stand close to the stage. In spite of the pouring rain, fans screamed, danced, and hopped along to different moments in the sets throughout the night. Each band highlighted its own sound, while the Eastside community brought an energetic and welcoming presence to the night. Rohna with its Psych-rock influences, Sleeping With Socks On with a guitar-heavy set, and The Grinns with their upbeat indie rock sound. Together, the performances showed the range of current indie music and the value of intimate venues that prioritize connection and local cultural pride.
