Stereobliss, an LA emo band, joined a roster at The Oblivion in Highland Park where they were supporting their new EP ‘500’ which was released earlier this year. They were joined with other bands such as, MyVeronica and Pop Free who are also rock bands sharing a shoegaze sound with lyrics that delve into the complexities of being human.
The Oblivion has transitioned from a vintage retail store into a venue for different acts to play within. That was in September of this year, so it is quite a new venue which also means more opportunities for smaller bands to be highlighted by this up and coming venue. The atmosphere was darker and moody, yet had a touch of mysticism to it with different sculptures scattered around. There was a back patio which extended into a parking lot where the pavement and dumpsters were blasted with graffiti and art. It allowed for a sense of community to feel present and alive within the realm of music and the love within it.
